On Thursday, 18 August 2016, in the afternoon at around 13:00, in Vilkaviškio district municipality, on Vištyčio street near No. 40, at a yard or parking-lot exit, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Volvo S60. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 61-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (40 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to keep a safe distance.
