On Friday, 26 August 2016, in the evening at around 19:00, in Radviliškio district municipality, on Šiaulių street, at the junction with A. Povyliaus street, a collision while turning left (U-turning) occurred. The collision involved a Volvo S60 and a Mercedes-Benz S 320 CDI. Three people were injured — a 24-year-old passenger of the Volvo (treated as an outpatient), a 27-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (treated as an outpatient) and a 28-year-old passenger of the Mercedes-Benz (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Volvo (5 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
