On Wednesday, 7 September 2016, in the evening at 18:25, in Klaipėda, on Baltijos pr., at the junction with Šilutės pl., a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo V40 and a Toyota Yaris. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Volvo, who failed to give way when changing direction. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
