On Sunday, 11 September 2016, in the morning at 7:23, in Vilnius, on Eišiškių pl., at the junction with Dariaus ir Girėno street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Ford TRANSIT/TOURNEO and a Toyota Avensis Verso. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 26-year-old driver of the Ford, who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk, had no driving licence and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, there was fog, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
