On Saturday, 24 September 2016, in the morning at 7:20, in Kaunas, on Taikos pr., at the junction with Studentų street, a Citroen C5 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 30-year-old pedestrian, who failed to obey traffic-control signals and was crossing the carriageway where prohibited. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
