On Friday, 21 October 2016, in the evening at around 18:00, in Kaunas, on Panerių street near No. 166, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Audi 80 and a Volvo S40. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 77-year-old driver of the Audi (40 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
