On Friday, 28 October 2016, in the evening at 18:15, in Kaunas, on Kalniečių street, at the junction with Žeimenos street, a Renault Laguna hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 25-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Renault (16 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. She was drunk (0.62‰ blood alcohol).
