On Wednesday, 9 November 2016, in the morning at around 7:00, in Kupiškio district municipality, on the Kupiškis–Vabalninkas–Biržai national road (kilometre 3), a Honda Jazz hit an animal. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 51-year-old driver of the Honda (20 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
