On Monday, 14 November 2016, in the evening at 17:15, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 303.40), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a BMW 530, a Hyundai Trajet, a Renault Espace and a Renault Trafic. Five people were injured — the 46-year-old driver of the Renault Trafic (treated as an outpatient), a 56-year-old passenger of the Renault Espace (treated as an outpatient), a 58-year-old passenger of the Renault Espace (treated as an outpatient), the 32-year-old driver of the Renault Espace (treated as an outpatient) and a 53-year-old passenger of the Renault Espace (hospitalized). All drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
