On Monday, 3 December 2018, in the afternoon at 14:10, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 303), a Lexus RX400h hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 54-year-old driver of the Lexus (20 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.00‰ blood alcohol). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
