On Tuesday, 15 November 2016, in the evening at 18:10, in Šiauliai, on Vilniaus street near No. 3, a Volkswagen Passat hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. One person was injured — a 17-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (16 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to keep a safe distance.
