On Saturday, 26 November 2016, in the morning at 7:50, in Utenos district municipality, on J. Basanavičiaus street, at the junction with Kupiškio street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved an Opel Astra, an Opel and a Volkswagen Golf. One person was injured — the 43-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 76-year-old driver of the Opel Astra (30 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. All drivers were sober.
