On Friday, 13 January 2017, in the afternoon at 15:55, in Alytaus district municipality, Daugų village, on the Valkininkų g s –Daugai–Alytus national road (kilometre 27.60), a Mitsubishi L 200 rolled over. Two people were injured — a 39-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (hospitalized) and a 8-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 44-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (25 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
