On Saturday, 14 January 2017, in the evening at 19:49, in Rokiškio district municipality, Pandėlio village, on Rokiškio street, a BMW X5 3.0D hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the BMW (25 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.47‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
