On Friday, 20 January 2017, in the evening at 17:20, in Kaunas, on Savanorių pr., at the junction with Mituvos street, a Ford Focus hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 9-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Ford (16 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. The driver was sober.
