On Saturday, 21 January 2017, in the afternoon at 15:33, in Vilnius, on Jeruzalės street, at the junction with Kalvarijų street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a Toyota Avensis. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (2.61‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
