On Thursday, 26 January 2017, in the evening at 17:40, in Prienų district municipality, Pašlavančio village, on the Vilnius–Prienai–Marijampolė main road (kilometre 114.40), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Deutz-Fahr 4.70,70 and a BMW 330. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 43-year-old driver of the Deutz-Fahr, who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. He was drunk (1.89‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, there was freezing rain, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
