On Sunday, 26 February 2017, in the evening at 19:50, in Kauno city municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 96.88), a BMW 320D hit an obstacle. One person was injured — a 32-year-old passenger of a Subaru Forester (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the BMW (9 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. Both drivers were sober.
