On Thursday, 2 March 2017, in the evening at around 19:00, in Kaunas, on Zanavykų street, at the junction with P. Kalpoko street, a Subaru Outback hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 69-year-old driver of the Subaru (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was raining, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
