On Tuesday, 7 March 2017, in the afternoon at 14:44, in Rokiškio district municipality, on the Rokiškis–Juodupė–Onuškis–Ilzenbergas regional road (kilometre 13.68), a Volkswagen Golf hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.94‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was snowing, the road surface was snow-covered. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
