On Friday, 10 March 2017, in the afternoon at around 14:00, in Kauno district municipality, on Vytauto street, at the junction with Vasario 16-osios street, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Seat Ibiza and a Mercedes-Benz 413. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who failed to keep a safe distance and failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
