On Tuesday, 9 August 2022, in the afternoon at 11:30, in Kauno district municipality, on Vytauto street, at the junction with Vasario 16-osios street, a BMW 530D Xdrive hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 37-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the BMW (11 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
