On Monday, 3 April 2017, in the afternoon at 13:15, in Kaunas, on Vokiečių street near No. 94, a Toyota Corolla hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by a 10-year-old pedestrian, who was crossing the carriageway outside a crossing where there are vehicle or pedestrian barriers. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
