On Wednesday, 3 May 2017, in the evening at 22:36, in Vilnius, on Tuskulėnų street, at the junction with Žirmūnų street, a BMW X3 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 57-year-old driver of the BMW (26 years of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations. He was drunk (1.92‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
