On Tuesday, 9 May 2017, in the evening at 21:43, in Klaipėda, on Laukininkų street near No. 14, a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volvo registered in Sweden and an Audi A4. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Volvo (1 year of driving experience), who committed other traffic rule violations and failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
