On Wednesday, 14 June 2017, in the morning at around 7:00, in Mažeikių district municipality, on Taikos street near No. 5, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Passat and a Ford Mondeo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 30-year-old driver of the Volkswagen (12 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober.
