On Wednesday, 21 June 2017, in the afternoon at 13:54, in Klaipėdos district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 272.70), a Mitsubishi Outlander registered in Germany rolled over. One person died — the 71-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (later died from the injuries). The accident was caused by the 71-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (13 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
