On Saturday, 24 June 2017, in the morning at 7:54, in Telšių district municipality, on Tryškių street near No. 4, an Audi 80 hit a pedestrian away from any crossing. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 46-year-old driver of the Audi (19 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
