On Saturday, 1 July 2017, in the afternoon at 12:20, in Marijampolės municipality, on the Marijampolė–Kalvarija national road (kilometre 5.50), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Volkswagen Golf and a Ford Focus. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 18-year-old driver of the Volkswagen.
