On Thursday, 13 July 2017, in the afternoon at 16:40, in Kaunas, on Kalniečių street near No. 243, a Citroen Xantia hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 24-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 80-year-old driver of the Citroen (57 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
