On Friday, 11 August 2017, at night at 0:05, in Kėdainių district municipality, on S. Dariaus ir S. Girėno street, at the junction with J. Basanavičiaus street, a Volkswagen Golf ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Volkswagen. He was drunk and had no driving licence. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
