On Saturday, 12 August 2017, at night at 23:29, in Vilniaus district municipality, Galgių village, on Centrinė street near No. 2, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Fiat Punto and a Volvo 7700. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 33-year-old driver of the Fiat (less than a year of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the weather was clear, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
