On Sunday, 21 December 2014, in the evening at 19:27, in Vilniaus district municipality, Galgių village, on Centrinė street near No. 2, a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved an Audi 100 Avant and a Mitsubishi Carisma. Three people were injured — the 21-year-old driver of the Audi (hospitalized), a 31-year-old passenger of the Mitsubishi (hospitalized) and the 32-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 21-year-old driver of the Audi (3 years of driving experience), who entered the oncoming traffic lane. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was icy. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
