On Tuesday, 15 August 2017, in the evening at 21:40, in Plungės district municipality, on the Mažeikiai–Plungė–Tauragė national road (kilometre 53), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Megane Scenic and a Peugeot 406. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Renault.
