On Wednesday, 6 September 2017, in the afternoon at 15:05, in Kaunas, on Kovo 11-osios street, at the junction with Dujotiekio street, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Renault VEL Satis and a Solaris Urbino 12. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 24-year-old driver of the Renault (5 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when changing direction. He fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry.
