On Tuesday, 12 September 2017, in the morning at around 5:00, in Kaunas, on Europos pr., at the junction with H. ir O. Minkovskių street, a Citroen Relay hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 59-year-old driver of the Citroen (40 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was lit, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
