On Wednesday, 13 September 2017, in the morning at 7:30, in Kretingos district municipality, on S. Daukanto street, at the junction with Panevėžio street, a Jeep Grand Cherokee ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 56-year-old driver of the Jeep (20 years of driving experience), who failed to give way when crossing an intersection. She fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was overcast, the road surface was contaminated. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
