On Friday, 22 September 2017, in the morning at 7:50, in Kaunas, on Šiaurės pr. near No. 43A, a Volkswagen Golf hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. Two people were injured — a 58-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient) and a 70-year-old pedestrian (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the driver of the Volkswagen (10 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
