On Sunday, 24 September 2017, in the afternoon at 14:05, in Kaunas, on Partizanų street near No. 174, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved a Fiat Multipla, a Toyota Avensis, a Volkswagen Touran and a Citroen Berlingo. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 76-year-old driver of the Fiat (40 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He was drunk (1.78‰ blood alcohol) and fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 30 km/h.
