On Wednesday, 27 September 2017, in the evening at 19:30, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 67.75), a collision while moving in the same direction occurred. The collision involved a Renault Megane, a Mercedes-Benz Actros 1836 and a Koegel SN 24. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Renault (4 years of driving experience), who fell asleep at the wheel. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was twilight, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 120 km/h.
