On Tuesday, 15 September 2020, in the evening at 22:13, in Kaišiadorių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 67.80), a Hyundai ran off the road. Two people were injured — the 55-year-old driver of the Hyundai (treated as an outpatient) and a 57-year-old passenger of the Hyundai (treated as an outpatient). The accident was caused by the 55-year-old driver of the Hyundai, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (1.92‰ blood alcohol) and had no driving licence. A 57-year-old passenger of the Hyundai was drunk (1.63‰). According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was dark, the road was unlit, the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
