On Sunday, 1 October 2017, in the evening at around 21:00, in Panevėžys, on Vasario 16-osios street, at the junction with J. Urbšio street, a Citroen Xantia registered in Germany hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by an unidentified person, who exceeded the speed set by traffic rules or road signs. He fled the scene. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA).
