On Saturday, 14 October 2017, in the afternoon at 11:57, in Kėdainių district municipality, on the Panevėžys–Aristava–Sitkūnai main road (kilometre 65), a head-on collision occurred. The collision involved a Scania RA4X2 registered in Estonia, a Krone registered in Estonia, a BMW, a Mercedes-Benz Vito, a Schmitz and a Scania R 124L. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 49-year-old driver of the Scania RA4X2 (22 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. All drivers were sober. According to the register, the at-fault driver's vehicle had no compulsory civil-liability insurance (TPVCA). At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 90 km/h.
