On Friday, 27 October 2017, in the morning at 6:26, in Kelmės district municipality, on the Ryga–Šiauliai–Tauragė–Kaliningradas main road (kilometre 102.30), a Suzuki Grand Vitara rolled over. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 22-year-old driver of the Suzuki (4 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk. At the time of the accident it was dark, it was overcast, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
