On Thursday, 9 November 2017, in the evening at around 19:00, in Zarasų district municipality, on Vilniaus street near No. 22, an Audi A6 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 20-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to choose a safe speed. He was drunk (2.84‰ blood alcohol), had no driving licence and fled the scene. At the time of the accident it was twilight, it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
