On Friday, 8 December 2017, in the morning at 9:55, in Raseinių district municipality, Pikelių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 203.38), a Maserati Ghibli hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 39-year-old driver of the Maserati (21 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 110 km/h.
