On Wednesday, 25 July 2018, in the afternoon at 16:24, in Raseinių district municipality, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (k. pusė) main road (kilometre 203.40), a Volvo FH12 hit an obstacle. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 28-year-old driver of the Volvo (7 years of driving experience), who failed to keep a safe distance. He fled the scene. The driver was sober. At the time of the accident the weather was clear, the road surface was dry. The speed limit on this section is 20 km/h.
