On Friday, 8 December 2017, in the afternoon at 15:45, in Utenos district municipality, on Aušros street near No. 7, a collision with a stationary vehicle occurred. The collision involved an Audi A6 and a Mercedes-Benz 1324. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 41-year-old driver of the Audi, who failed to keep a safe distance. He had no driving licence and fled the scene. Both drivers were sober. At the time of the accident it was raining, the road surface was wet. The speed limit on this section is 50 km/h.
