On Wednesday, 19 December 2018, in the morning at 7:17, in Utenos district municipality, on J. Basanavičiaus street, at the junction with Aušros street, a Toyota hit a pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. One person was injured — a 55-year-old pedestrian (hospitalized). The accident was caused by the 31-year-old driver of the Toyota (13 years of driving experience), who failed to fulfil pedestrian duties. The driver was sober.
