On Sunday, 10 December 2017, in the morning at around 7:00, in Klaipėdos district municipality, Saulažolių village, on the Vilnius–Kaunas–Klaipėda (d. pusė) main road (kilometre 291), a Citroen Xsara ran off the road. No one was hurt in the accident. The accident was caused by the 29-year-old driver of the Citroen (11 years of driving experience), who failed to choose a safe speed. The driver was sober.
